Tools lead to change human nature and make humans stay away from nature in one way or another. Now, we are in between the old and new tools which develop more and more, they made a heap. Beside the heap that they made, a deep valley is constructed.

Shirwan Fatih Contemporary artist based in Sulaimany, Kurdistan Region. Recently works on various materials as educational equipment’s and how linked to the community. Criticising the concepts through installation, voice, text and performance. He is choosing those materials and generates questions while performing and building an art works

About the Show


On the 6th of Jun 2021 at the Nawroz school in Sulaimany, Harre been performed for five days in the raw. The audience was able to see the performance in two different periods such as morning and evening with the artist himself. The work contained different mediums such as performance , an installation, text and sounds, that all presented together and been presented by Shirwan for the first time

On the first day had an open discussion that been conducted by Rebeen Majid and Rostam Aziz. The open debating platform exchanged many different perspectives and perceptions regarding the connection between artworks and life expenses also its regulations. Shirawn and his style in terms of forms etc have been pointed out clearly. On the other side of our discussion, some questions were imposed itself such as the resources of the materials that were presented. Is the carpentry occupation customised to be a masculine duty? those alongside many other questions for approximately two hours were discussed.Having this artwork ( Harre) on board has given a boost to our project, Those People Are Working.

Furthermore, Shirwan was working and developing this work for long times ago. He was collecting resources and materials to build his artwork cohesively as an outcome. The objects and instruments were put on the shelves. Those objects Used to be the reliable items for carpentry from decades. Hence, many tools have been created by artist himself such as the blackboard and the shelves which they used to be the main tools for his show.
